Our Vision
We seek to shed light on the underreported and overlooked global stories which matter to you.
The Lookout Report seeks to provide nuanced analysis of topics that are overlooked due to their perceived ‘irrelevance’, such as elections and major policy shifts in Latin America, proxy wars in sub-Saharan and Northern Africa, and specific macroeconomic trends.
These issues have broader implications for the future of trade, global security, and international order and deserve consideration and engagement.
The Lookout Report was founded by KCL Postgraduate students Joshua Schlicht and Ben Kwasnik in October 2023. As students of International Political Economy, they are passionate about global political affairs, and wanted to share their analysis of political and current affairs from around the world.
Since then, The Lookout Report has grown into a journal with multiple reporters and writer and is rapidly expanding into other continents and regions.
Current Editor-in-Chief is Felipe Oscar Bonilla Branner.
